ICT as a Medium for Teaching & Learning

     - ICT in which stands for "Information and Communication Technology" became one of the vital parts in our life especially in teaching and learning as such in regards of Academic purposes and means. but it is not restricted only for this said purpose as ICT can also be used in negotiations, communications, researching and more as much as one can think of. in basic words, it has been embedded in our livelihood as a normal living and productive person.

"How ICT  has transformed the educational doctrine for primary, secondary [junior H.S & senior H.S], and other Academic School levels."

    Q1.) How ICT changed the way learning students on both learning and studying a certain subject topic.

     A1.)- Students back then in 20th or below century used to have a very hard time, as in harsh hard time learning as the majority of those youngsters simply went to school for a short time to acquire the fundamentals of algebra and English. Only 11% of young people in high school were enrolled in any classes in 1900. Even these 14 commonplace items appeared quite different one hundred years ago  (https://www.rd.com/list/what-school-was-like-100-years-ago/) . 

            - But now with the help of ICT, a lot of Students may now communicate in real time with classmates & teachers  from all around the world using online forums, chats, wikis, and other collaborative tools.     a.)The singing to the national anthem [back then vs nowadays].

"B A C K   T H E N"

            - Teachers were strict and implements school laws & rules in which the learners or students would obey and follow their commands like in example, to form a line all accordingly to their height while also maintaining silence on the move. 

            - As for singing the national anthem, a full membered school band even with a conductor or even an acapella was tasked to start and sing the national anthem so that the whole class batches can follow alongside it and sing it in full lyrics.

            - And such, students back then were more mentally disciplined and much more well mannered in terms of singing the national anthem (though may still vary from student to student as to how disciplined they are).

"N O W A D A Y S"

              - With the help of ICT or in general, the technology. Audio recorded national anthems can now be put in a "Plug-N-Play" method. as all it requires to do is download the song, find a speaker, then play it alongside with the students so they would follow along on singing the national anthem.

            - Though there's a catch, discipline is not as tight and strict as back then since there is no school band nor acapella alongside with their conductor and quite rare strict teachers to discipline students on giving respects to singing the national anthem. 

            - And such, students nowadays may tend to goof-off minorly nor majorly since as said, teachers are not as strict as back then as there were no school band or acapella with its conductor, rare strict teachers and such, in order to maintain discipline and well manners nowadays.

P.S: to clarify, there are still some school which implements the old way of preparing and singing for the national anthem, example is shown below though it's under the boyscouts who'll be leading the national anthem.

    b.)Presenting visual aids [back then vs nowadays].

            - Presenting visual aids back then requires a good amount of penmanship especially since most teachers uses either a black, wide and long board which is for college students, or tar papel/manila paper with their hand writing in regards to the subject written on it. 

            - But nowadays, with the help of ICT or technology in general, both students and teachers now uses software applications or presenting apps found in laptop/PC, and mobile & portable devices. as such, making and presenting visual aids are now much more easier and faster to set-up and show to the said audiences/students/teachers.

            - so in summary, with the help of ICT or as said again "Technology". presenting of visual aid has helped us to the extent where we can make, do, and show visual aids in  minute or so, thus making things much more quicker.

    c.) Class record (back then vs nowadays)

        -recording class records like attendance, activities, test scores, etc. back then were similar to how visual aid was made back then. it is also hand written, a manual process of gathering their students activities, scores, .etc. as such, making the duration of the said recording progress quite long in which may take days or even weeks to complete. 

        - But nowadays, with the help of technology especially in regards of communication and information's. everyone as said  from earlier. has their very own gadgets such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops/PC's which is exactly what most teachers nowadays uses to do class records due to its easy, simple, and fast process of inputting score/activity marking, attendance, .etc.

    d.) Class dismissal (back then vs nowadays)

        - Class dismissal is probably one of the most anticipated time for students since they get to home and rest then relax. 

        - Back then, teachers were the prime ones of who gets to decide what time class would be dismissed/ students can go home. But nowadays, with the help of technology especially in communications ever since the birth of the mic and microphone. either the teacher or the principal gets to decide when or what time class would be dismissed.

        - Though, most schools nowadays usually post a memo of class schedules posted either in the classroom or the class group chat.

    e.) Assignment and Research (back then then vs Nowadays)

        - Doing assignments back then were quite hard since we rely accordingly from what we have learned from our teacher, answers we got when we ask our parents, looking & reading after books, and relative and as to how we interpreted  the said lesson.

        - but nowadays, with the help of technology especially with the existence of the internet. doing assignments and research were far much more easier since we can just type, search, and have our answers within a minute due to the help of internet.

        - but of course with the right use and obeying the internet rules especially in regards of PLAIGARISM, we can avoid getting fined or even sentenced to prison for 5 to 30 years at max.

"So to speak for the conclusion, ICT or in general, the advancement of technology as years progresses and comes by has bought us in ease in our daily lives especially in academic purposes, and such. we have save enough time do more works at a much more faster, easier, and simple pace ever than before."
